BODA FINANCE LIMITED lends to people and small businesses in the North District, from an office in On Lok Tsuen. Anyone will describe their approval process. Far fewer will tell you, in writing and in advance, what happens if a payment is missed. Ours is on this page.
A published standard, not a private policy
Who we are
BODA FINANCE LIMITED is a money lending company at On Hing Industrial Centre in On Lok Tsuen, Fanling. We are not a bank — we take no deposits and hold no accounts. We lend modest sums to individuals and small businesses across Fanling, Sheung Shui and the surrounding North District.
Hong Kong had over two thousand licensed money lenders as of mid-2025. The quality of them varies enormously, and the difference rarely shows up in the advertised rate. It shows up months later, in how a company behaves toward someone who has fallen behind.
That is why this site leads with collection conduct rather than with approval speed. A borrower's real exposure is not the interest — it is what a lender is prepared to do to their reputation and their family's peace if things go wrong. That should be settled before the money changes hands, not discovered afterwards.
Anybody can be pleasant while lending. The question worth asking is how they behave while collecting.

Our lending
Short, specific borrowing with an end date. We do not offer open credit lines, and we think that is a feature.
Instalment borrowing for a defined purpose over a defined term, assessed on your circumstances rather than on a single number.
Working capital for the workshops, shops and trades of the North District — where a bank's minimum ticket is larger than the whole requirement.
Borrowing secured by a charge over property, including second charges. The property is at risk if the loan is not repaid — that is the trade.
Combining several obligations into one — but only where the total cost genuinely falls, which we will work out with you before proposing it.
Short-term funding pending a sale, a settlement or an expected receipt, with the exit agreed at the start rather than hoped for.
If you are already behind with us, come in and talk. A rescheduled payment costs everyone less than an enforcement does.
If you're a guarantor
Somebody you care about has asked you to sign as guarantor, and it feels like a gesture of confidence in them. Legally it is nothing of the sort. It is you agreeing to pay their debt, and the misunderstanding is so common that we would rather set it out plainly than have you learn it later.
None of this means you should refuse. It means you should sign knowing exactly what you have taken on — and, ideally, after a conversation with your own household about it.
Guaranteeing is not splitting. The full balance can be claimed from you
Depending on the terms, without the borrower being pursued to exhaustion first
A guarantee is a commitment, and other lenders may treat it as one
Ask what releases you, and what happens if the borrower and you fall out
How it works

Your circumstances reviewed directly by us, with no intermediary involved.
Amount, effective rate, schedule, total repayable — and our collection conduct.
Funds released, with your copy of the loan memorandum in hand.
Client feedback
I missed a payment after a bad month and spent a week dreading the phone. What actually happened was one call, in normal working hours, asking what had gone on and whether a revised schedule would help. Nobody rang my employer.
My nephew asked me to guarantee his loan. Here it was explained to me that I would owe the whole sum, not a share, and I was told to go home and think about it. I did sign in the end, but with my eyes open.
Our workshop needed a small amount for materials and the banks were not interested at that size. The paperwork here was a fraction of the effort and the total repayable was on the table at the first meeting.
